The experience and shop is located in a charming renovated schoolhouse, blending historic and contemporary features to beautiful effect. Explore the cask room, where you can have a bottle (to take home) filled directly from the source. Relax in the tasting room and have your taste buds tantalised, as you nose and sample many different whiskies, with tasting notes and guidance provided by the knowledgeable in-house experts. Afterwards, select a bottle and have it personalised for a unique gift or indulgent treat, or purchase one of the fine single malts in the shop. The A.D. Rattray Whisky Experience received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence in 2018, and was awarded five stars by the Scottish Tourist Board as a visitor attraction. Frequent events are held here too, with a range of invited distillers speaking about their products, providing even more opportunity to discover Scotland’s favourite tipple for yourself.

Really enjoyed the tasting session - especially the whiskys. The host was very informative and knowledgeable, She also kept it interesting and was flexible enough to carry on from people of different ages and nationalities. The shop also sells a range of whiskys and accessories.
